A wine with structure and complexity. This Chardonnay is serious and sophisticated, yet easy to drink with compelling citrus flavors and aromas, characterized by vanilla and oak.
This quaffable young Chardonnay serves up lots of lively, refreshingly clean and pure apple, pear, melon and spicy notes, with no oak intrusions. There's plenty to go around, at a hard-to-beat price. Drink now through 2002.
Smells bright, citrusy and clean, but the bouquet is dominated by oak. A charry, penetrating scent of vanilla, with almost a hint of white chocolate, leads to a rich, creamy wine. It's a bit on the sweet side, and tastes strongly of lees. Pretty good stuff - at this price, it's a swell value.
Elegant, with purity of flavor to the tasty ripe pear, lemon-lime, quince and appley notes. Finishes with a burst of fresh fruit. Drink now.
The new vanguard of winemaking vision and expertise at Gallo continues to impress with the affordable and well-crafted 2002 chardonnay from Sonoma County. It brims with ripe, juicy fruit flavors, and a restrained touch of vanilla and toasty oak give added dimension to its pleasing palate.
A bit lean in fruit, with shades of apple and peach, although the oak is very elaborate and stars with vanilla, smoke, and crème brûlée notes. The wine is fully dry and has crisp acidity, and is very nice for the everyday price.
