Winemaker's Notes:
Made with Trebbiano, Sangiovese and Malvasia Bianca that were left to hang on the vines for as long as possible before being hand picked and dried for 3 months, this wine was then matured for three years in chestnut barrels. A deep amber colour, with nutty, candied characters on the nose. A wonderfully complex wine, with flavours of dried apricots, orange peel, honey, and toasted almonds.

Fattoria Il Muro has been owned by the Pancaro family for more than two centuries. Its land has always been used for producing grapes. This is due to its particular environmental conditions that are ideal for the produc- tion of high quality wine enabling the growth of grape- vines in an environmentally sustainable and eco-friendly way.
Indeed, the soil rich in marl and the temperate climate provide a microhabitat that improves the organoleptic qualities and the health of the grapes.
Since the early 1970s, the late owner Francesco Pancaro, decided to specialize in winemaking. His engagement and work have been continued by the whole family, but mostly by his son Federico (agronomist). He is now engaged with updating the production techniques while keeping up the old traditions, aware that enthusi- asm, love for nature and respect for the environment are the only possibile recipe to maintain the high product quality.
According to this philosophy only the grapes produced on their own land are being used for creating these high-quality wines produced in the historic wine-cellar, locally known as La Panchera.
Federico with his Team strive to produce the grape and his wines putting into the soil the intention to reach its highest capacities, trying to make each wine the best possible expression of Tuscan unique terroir. Only the finest grapes are selected and vinified at the Estate’s historic wine cellar following traditional methods, supported by innovative winemaking techniques.
Winemaker. Stefano Di Blasi is talented winemaker responsible for making two of Italy's finest wines, Tignanello and Solaia. He is considered one of the most famous and prestigious agronomists in Tuscany.
Cellarmaster. Daniele Orazzini has a great deal of experience after years of working with some of the most prestigious wineries in the area.
