Food Pairings for Gala de Vallformosa
Fine slowly rising bead which you would expect from a Gran Reserva Cava (minimum 30 months). Straw with golden touches. Rich caramel tart with hints of flowers we can´t quite name. Dried fruits such as hazelnuts and almonds (fresh not toasted). Smooth mouth feel. Fresh and complex. Buttery texture, elegant with well balanced fruit and acidity. Serving suggestions: aperitif, main course or non-sweet dessert. Particularly well with fish in an almond butter sauce. Attractive clear bottle matching the colour of the wine. Perhaps slightly over--priced if local but a bargain if from Australia or US. Great as a present or for a special occassion.
