- The nine-acre Sorì San Lorenzo vineyard was acquired by the Gaja family in 1964 and today produces one of Gaja's single-vineyard Langhe Nebbiolo D.O.C. wines. The word Sorì means a hilltop with a southern exposure; San Lorenzo is the patron saint of Alba. It is extremely concentrated, with intense notes of black currants and black cherries and hints of black berries, mineral notes and aromas of herbs and exotic spices. A colossal, rich wine with a complex structure and great concentration and power.
