What to Expect

Agiorgitiko, also known as Mavro Nemeas or St. George, is a grape indigenous to Greece. The wines produced with Agiorgitiko tend to be somewhat low in acid with balanced tannins and a fruity, dark cherry tone. The wines can range from Rosés to oak aged reds and increasingly Agiorgitiko is being blended with the more assertive Cabernet Sauvignon to produce intentional styled reds from Greece.

Reviews

Notios means "the southerner," and this easy-drinking red is indeed from southern Greece. It is made from the local Agiorgitiko variety, which in this case has yielded a soft, velvety wine with plum and cherry flavors.
