New world Italian all the way. terrfic dry fruit. paired this with spicy beef and sausage ravioli with marinara sauce. although I usually pair barbera with pizza (one of my top 5 food varietal pairings) I decided to go the ravioli route. Killer killer decision. This had some low acidity for Barbera which I wasn't expecting. Saved me from having the usual heartburn I get with this type of pairing. Definitely a plus!
