G. Marquis the Silver Line Single Vineyard Niagara Stone Road Pinot Noir 2010

Member Review by zufrieden:

This Ontario, Canada Pinot Noir is quite dark and brooding - colour-wise - showing a promise of good extraction. The nose is quite pH acidic with elements of "cat's pee" or mouth-puckering wild cranberry juice, or perhaps sour cherry. This acidity cannot be easily shaken from the nostrils. On the palate we have true Pinot characteristics - with Burgundian aspirations - but a bit tart and awkward. Still, a nice wine and fairly paired with roast canard a l'orange (especially a Canadian Mallard). We look for even better examples of this wine in future.
