External Reviews for Fulkerson Traminette Finger Lakes
A pronounced nose of perfumed rose petals, fresh peach and a hint of lychee nut is followed by a full mouth feel of citron and peach with a balanced finish of pink grapefruit. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **
In New York we are fortunate, thanks to our friends at Cornell, to have more than one source for the Traminette (a cross between old favorite Gewurztraminer and the Joannes Seyve [23.416]) grape. Fulkerson, which first planted this new variety in 1982, makes a semi-dry Traminette that greets you with fragrant pear and apricot notes along with succulent deep flavors of honey, finishing with grapefruit acidity and mild spice. Enjoy this New York treasure with pineapple-glazed ham.
A beautiful nose of delicate white flowers entices with this Traminette from New York. On the palate, the wine offers a combination of citrus and pear which is both elegant and an interesting match to myriad foods. Very pretty and a good price.
The Fulkerson Traminette is incredibly aromatic, with deep honeysuckle and gardenia floral notes on the nose. On the palate, peach, apricot and fresh pear are backed by crisp acidity. Just off-dry, this wine would be excellent with spicier dishes, but I also love it on its own.
