Fuki Plum Wine 2009
This was a very sweet wine. It had a good plum aftertaste. The overall flavor of the wine seemed to build as we drank the bottle. Toward the end it was getting a bit strong. The flavor is consistent from bottle to bottle. The price is about average compared to the other plum wines available to me. Good to have with a cheese plate or some cut fruit. Could be used as a dessert wine.
This is a very sweet wine...you can taste the plum. I could call this an all day sipper...some others I've talked to don't like the sweet taste.
I'm a fan of sweet wine. This is by far my favorite wine. I will be bringing a bottle to a Wine Party at the end of the month.
Tastes like capri sun.

Light and subtle flavors of juicy Japanese plums. Best served chilled. - Winery
Wine Tasting NotesFu-Ki's plum wine contains 9% alcohol and is made with grape spirits and other natural flavors. This wine is made by a unique method cultivated for hundreds of years in Japan. The plums are picked at dawn and processed the same day to keep their dewy freshness and flavor which distinguishes Fu-Ki from all other wines. Its delicate, light and subtle flavor is equally delicious served chilled or on the rocks.
