Fuego Old Vine Garnacha 2012
The best vineyards of Calatayud are situated high on the hillsides, 3000 feet above sea level, where, despite the poor, gravelly soil, the old gnarled vines produce the finest grapes possible in this arid, desolate region. Only the ripest clusters are chosen, thus producing a wine of considerable depth and finesse. The wine exudes intense aromas of sweet cherries and dark plums with an exotic spicy finish reminiscent of white pepper.
A fantastic wine for the price. From first hitting the palate until the finish it was very pleasing. It was the finish that stood out.
Young, with not much body but drinkable. Dont pay more than $10.
Very drinkable. Has a wonderful spicy finish.
Excellent wine for the price - wine spectator recommended as best buy and for $7.99 it really is - very flavorful, rich and light at the same time - well balanced - drinks like a 20-25 dollar wine
excellent value, can't go wrong with this wine at this price, full mouth feel, balanced flavors

Intense spicy black aromas and flavors. Ripe, with no hard edge. Finishes with the classic pepper that everyone has come to love. As the lable suggests, this wine goes great with meats off the barbeque.Perfect for the backyard or rooftop BBQ!
This Garnacha (Grenache) is a great low-cost alternative for people who like rich, fruit-forward reds like Shiraz or Zinfandel.
Ruby-red. Pungent, mineral-tinged cherry and blackcurrant aromas accented by sweet mocha and espresso. Fresh, firm and energetic, with tangy red and dark berry flavors and an impression of solidity. Finishes spicy, sweet and long, with a lingering note of candied licorice. This offers rare complexity for the price.
Ripe raspberry, creamy vanilla and spicy licorice mingle in this exuberant red, which is alluring, plush but tender, structured more by acidity than tannins. Drink now through 2010.
The 2007 Garnacha de Fuego is 100% old-vine Garnacha sourced from 60-80 year old vineyards offering tiny yields. Dark ruby/purple-colored the nose exhibits spice box, earth notes, and wild cherry. On the palate it is slightly compact albeit with excellent flavors and good length. It is a steal at the asking price. Drink it over the next two years.
Bright purple. Smoky blackberry and blueberry on the nose, with subtle spice and floral qualities adding interest. Fleshy and sweet, with deep dark berry preserve flavors, supple texture and bright mineral lift. More than simply a fruit bomb, but this wine's berry flavors are impressively forceful. Finishes with very good, spicy persistence and a lingering blueberry quality. A gift at the price.
