Aromas of citrus, stone fruit, white flowers and lean mineral flavors round out this medium weight wine. You'll taste a touch a grassiness mixed with taut, crisp flavors... refreshing. Try it with fish and chips.

Light and clean in the nose, with attractive hints of nutmeg and other baking spices. It's certainly not dull, what with its fresh grapefruit, nectarine and tangerine flavors. A crisp, refreshing finish is the final act, making it perfect to accompany shellfish.

With no oak, this wine's inherent fruit stars, showing citrus, melons and peaches. With crisp acidity, it's clean, brisk and entirely dry, despite relatively low alcohol. But it's strong in those perfumed pyrazines that turn some people off.

A pleasant wine, with bright-hued hints of citrus, green apple, hay, melon and herbs. It's got medium body and a light edge, finishing with moderate length.

Light and zingy, dominated by grapefruit and lemon flavors. Bright and refreshing, with a hint of herb in the finish. Drink now.

Attractively earthy on the nose, fanning out to include fresh pea, fig, melon and grapefruit flavors on the palate. The blend in well integrated, though understated, coming up a little short on the finish. Drink now through 2001.

A tight, flinty, steely style, with firm citrus, fig, passion fruit and pear shadings that are sharply focused. Drink now through 2004.

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes Our Sauvignon Blanc greets you with aromas of lemongrass, wet stone and delicate floral notes. This wine's deep connection to its Rutherford roots is revealed through the subtle flavors of minerality and slate that peer through the citrus and zest tones. Crisp and taut on the palate, this wine's bright acid makes it bracing and refreshing - a wine of engaging distinctiveness, much like the appellation from which it originates.
