Ripe, firm and focused, with a red currant and cherry core. Lingers on the finish, picking up spicy toasted oak notes. Tannins are firm but well integrated. Drink now through 2005.
There's an ashy, sage and thyme edge to this ripe young Merlot that actually adds interest to the cherry, blackberry and cranberry aromas and flavors. The wine is voluptuously rich, almost decadent, so ripe is the fruit and so fine are the tannins, but it never loses its dry sense of balance. Very Bordeaux-like in elegance.
Filled with fragrant notes of rich black berry and traces of cocoa powder, the 2008 Frog s Leap Merlot exhibits a cascading flavor profile of ripened red berries and cherry accentuated by delicate notes of mocha, herbs and spice. With such a diverse set of flavors and bright acidity this wine can be paired with a wide range of food from lamb stew to chocolate souffle .

The famed 'Rutherford Dust,' in which the grapes were grown, generates a mouth-feel and finish that is long and lovely all wrapped in plush, soft tannins. Tightly wound and well-focused, with spicy blackberry, leather, anise, mocha and mineral flavors, finishing with a rich aftertaste and firm, integrated tannins. Drink now through 2009.
Ripe and complex, with high-toned cola, blackberry, cranberry and wild berry flavors that are elegant and refined, finishing with good length and ripe, integrated tannins. Drink now through 2008.
Ruby-red. Plum, red currant, cedar, tobacco, loam and a lightly vegetal quality on the nose. Supple and sweet, with flavors similar to the aromas. A somewhat undifferentiated, simple wine but one with adequate acidity and good balance. Finishes with rather smooth tannins.
