A light layer of oak contributes a suggestion of graham cracker character to the somewhat narrow red cherry fruit that looms in the background of this wine's low-key aromas. True to the house style, the wine is firm in acidity and less than fully concentrated in a manner that is designed to work with food. Its acidy tang calls out for veal piccata.Connoisseurs' Guide to California Wine aging recommendation: Drinkable now. Further bottle aging can improve this wine.
Tasting Notes - Dark garnet color, this wine's varietal character is revealed by its classic aromas of cherry ,blueberry, & sage . Across the palate the wine's soft and plush texture is full of fruit flavors-ripe plums and red berries with underlying note of cigar box and green tea that leads to a supple mouth feel.
