An extraordinary wine - solid and grand with its black purple opaqueness in the glass. An abashed nose of fresh plum tart with candied violets, black pepper, black licorice and rich plum/cherry confit. Resolute grip and a dense core are linked by a vibrant acidity, while the side notes are ones of tobacco and cedar. Chewy, thick and tight-knit at this point, but its powerful structure will mature admirably.

Blend: 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot,15% Cabernet Franc Color: A striking purple, dense but brilliant, greets the eye Aroma: On the nose, emphatic spice aromas, predominantlycinnamon and clove, emerge immediately, with brightredcurrant adding to the complexity and subtle notes oftoasty oak further enriching the broad spectrum ofaromatics. Taste: A smooth fabric of dense tannins immediately impresseson the palate, and as Mormoreto steadily expands, afirm acidity nicely complements a body that is solid butnot over-powerful. Clean, well-delineated aromas areagain delightful read more...
