Freschello Vivo Red NV

Member Review by La Fenice:

Per SF Weekly, dry, very light-bodied, relatively low in alcohol (10.5%), slightly fizzy, and best served slightly cool (60-65 degrees). A blend of Merlot and Raboso, with an aroma of dried figs, a fresh, fruity flavor with hints of black tea, and a slightly bitter, refreshing finish. The wine makes a pleasant aperitif, and goes well with all sorts of foods. I enjoyed this inexpensive rosso while visiting Venice last year. BevMo and others now carrying this wine.

Cielo:
Cielo E Terra is a family-run operation that has been producing wine in the Veneto region of Italy since 1908. While for a time associated with bulk wine production, the fourth generation of the family is committed to reversing that reputation with quality wines of the Colli Berici zone and working with top quality growers and producers. Their wines are available as still and sparkling in whites, reds and rosatos.
