This gains a lot of overt fruitiness on the nose from the extra sugar in it's dosage. In the mouth it has rich apple, apricot and sweet citrus tones and a gently spicy finish that is carried along by the noticeable sweetness. It's not really that sweet, just noticeable and a little sticky on the finish. If you're looking for a round, easy to drink sparkling wine this just might fit the bill. 86pts.
Mineral and earth driven on the nose with linden flower, honey and candied lime aromas. Fairly light on the palate in a fresh, crisp style that showcases earthy flavors with hints of yeast, mushroom, apple and lemon pith. A fairly dry style with decent length and a nice dry snap on the finish. 86pts
Light golden in color with lots of medium sized bubbles. The nose is a musty mess with honey, apple and light nut aromas. On the palate it has a fine sparkle and is completely dry. Flavors of honey, green apple, with an lightly creamy texture. The finish is short with green apple lingering for a bit. 3/5 [NR]
Extra Dry is a bit of a misnomer here. Its a decent sparkler, with lots of fruit on the nose, and a round richness. The sugar, while not over powering is clear, and the finish slightly sweet. Nice, and not cloying. Very approachable
Excellent QPR on this nutty, frothy, and citrusy sparkler. Not a harsh, unpleasant note to be found. Definitely a bargain.
Very peachy smell. Sparkly. Very nice and complex flavors. Incredibly drinkable.
White gold in color with medium sized semi-active bubbles. On the nose, I'm primarily hit by pear, bread and raw almond notes. This is a delicate but present flavor. In the mouth, the wine fully coats my tongue, with light flavors of mineral, pear and a touch of bread notes that linger right near the end. Well integrated, good structure, yet not the star of the party.
Pouco frutado no nariz (menos que o esperado). Adstringente. Não muito fácil de tomar sozinho, talvez com alguma fruta critica junto fique melhor.
I have been drinking Freixenet Extra Dry Sparkling Wine (NOT the Brut) for more than 20 years. It is the very best tasting by far in its price range and rivals any other bottle available under $50.00. It is very light and goes with any meal or dessert. I drink it all the time and buy it by the case. I can get it in Virginia for $8 per bottle which is a great deal so a case cost me $100 including tax. A few years ago, just to experiment, I purchased every bottle of sparkling wine $10 and under to see if there was something better tasting out there. I ended up purchasing 17 bottles. A couple of bottles came close but the Freixenet Extra Dry is the best hands down. This is why most people have a bad opinion about Champagne as most don't taste very good. Buy this one, its a bargain and the best by far. Enjoy!!!!

The sweet and waxy aromas are similar to what you might get from an aromatized candle. The palate is sugary and soda-like, with flavors of sweetened lime and apple wedges. And the finish seems a bit like 7-Up. Best for those who like a sweeter bubbly.
Cava Champion. Distinct apple aroma sets this sparkler apart, as well as the slightly fuller flavors of vanilla and lemon cream on the palate. This winersquo;s hint of sweetness rounds it out and gives it substance. Constant string of beads is pleasing to the eye as well as the palate. Refreshing. Great buy.
Clean flavors of apple lend this rounds Cava a simple goodness. Itrsquo;s dry, even as the finish hints at a caramel richness, a flavor and feel that would work with seared scallops.
Chalky, lemony aromas and lightly buttery yellow plum flavors give this bargain bubbly more pop than pretty much anything else in this price range. Even the dry, lime-tinged finish sparkles. Itrsquo;s light and not particularly complex, but itrsquo;s still a steal.
Shows an appealing earthy-chalky note alongside daisies and fresh ginger that gives this Cava more complexity than most others. Spicy and earthy on the finish.
Consistency at a good price is what this textbook cava is all about. The bouquet offers you basic fruit-cocktail aromas, while the palate is sort of plump as it pours on the nectarine and ripe peach flavors. Easygoing, with some weight and roundness.
Packed with pear and straw flavors, this is a touch sweet, but attractive and balanced by firm acidity.
This is a light, very modern Cava, much appreciated for its refreshing style and created from a special blend of the three traditional, indigenous Penedes white varieties. It is pale yellow with bright hints of green and a fine, persistent, and abundant sparkle lifting to a good crown. The fine, delicate aromas combine tones of green apple and pear with light resonances of peach, melon, and pineapple over a base of citrus, which are all beautifully balanced by light toasty aromas from bottle maturation.
Perhaps the poster child for Cava’s success in the international marketplace, Cordón Negro is clean and crisp, with just a bit of residual sugar in the middle and finish. Cava’s typical citrus notes prevail, but the sugar adds a more tropical hint to the wine, and there is a sweet apple candy note as well.
