Mellow, nice wine for the price
Bought this "on sale" from Raleys, normally 31.99, down to 19.99. Was not disappointed. Fruity, dry and complex. A perfect cab on its own, and good with food... even grilled chicken.
Good wine with sweet taste.
I have to agree with the review given by judgelog. Well balanced. This is a good cab to me. I paid around $20.00; not the greatest bang for your buck.
Excellent wine, full bodied, excellent aroma, would recommend highly.
bought at raleys for 19.99 on vacn. ending up bringing their last four home. Wife loved it. great value. perfect with 16.99 lb. ribeye

More backward, but still impressive is the 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon. Its deep, dark ruby color is followed by notes of creosote, roasted herbs, tobacco leaf, black currants, and cherries. This smoky, medium to full-bodied, impressively endowed Cabernet should drink well for a decade.
A lovely Cab made in a drink-me-now style, this polished Alexander Valley beauty is soft and elegant. It has impressively rich blackberry, currant, mocha, anise and tobacco flavors, with a earthy edge of olive tapenade and cola.
The dark ruby/purple-tinged, medium-bodied 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits classic aromas of spicy oak, black currants, tobacco leaf, and licorice. With light tannins as well as flesh and richness, this well-priced wine is best consumed over the next 7-8 years.

Shows the delicate softness of Alexander Valley Cabernet, with the elegance that good viticulture and winemaking can bring to wine. This is a really drinkable Cabernet, but itrsquo;s not a simple one. Shows layers of complexity in the way the ripe fruit, oak, tannins and acids all play off each other.

A full-bodied wine that is balanced by concentrated black fruit and toasty oak. It finishes dry and smooth with a touch of mint.
The grapes for this wine were gently destemmed but not crushed, leaving a significant number of whole berries for fermentation. The must received approximately 10 days of skin contact to enhance the extraction of vivid color and intense flavors. Temperatures were closely monitored and kept at approximately 85°F during fermentation to yield a richer, rounder mouthfeel and body in the wine. Malolactic fermentation added complexity and softened the wine's acid structure.
Our 2007 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has intense aromas of cassis, dark berries and toasty oak. Firm, velvety tannins complement the flavors of blackberry, raspberry, cedar and tobacco. Subtle hints of vanilla and dark chocolate linger in a long, elegant finish.
