Freeman Chardonnay Russian River Valley Ryo-Fu 2004

The wine exhibits deep aromas of tropical fruits such as papaya and pineapple. Has a fairly substantial mouthfeel with a lush, soft texture but it’s kept firm by crisp acidity. Elegant finish with hints of toasty oak and more of the tropical fruits.

Pineapple and spice on the nose. Densely packed and fat with tropical fruit, toast and butterscotch. Not especially complex or long, but boasts good stuffing.

Bright, pale gold. Leesy aromas of soft citrus fruits, pineapple, smoke and hazelnut; showed oak char and iodine as it opened in the glass. Dusty, chewy, plump and dry, with flavors of pineapple, smoky oak and butter. A broad, airy wine with a creamy, tactile texture and good lingering sweetness.

The fruit for Ryo-Fu Chardonnay comes from two different vinyeard sites, a cooler Green Valley site and a warmer Russian River site. The blending of these has created a wine that has a rich, lush mouth feel with tropical fruit flavors in the nose, and a crisp acidity on the palate.

The fruit for the Ryo-Fu Chardonnay comes from two different vineyard sites: a cooler Green Valley site and a warmer Russian River site. The "blend" (of 100% Chardonnay grapes) has a rich, lush mouthfeel with tropical fruit flavors in the nose and crisp acidity on the palate.
