Freefall Pinot Gris 2008
Sourced from one of the best Pinot Gris vineyards in Waipara (located 40 minutes north of Christchurch) the fruit was crushed and destemmed before cold settling the juice. The texture and viscocity resulted from a low press extraction. A cool ferment built the fresh fruit characters, which was then followed by 3 months on light fermentation lees. It was finally fined and filtered before release.
New Zealand adventurer and co-founder of bungy jumping, Henry van Asch along with brother-in-law Tom Hutchison, grow Freefall's grapes in the Central Otago and Marlborough regions. Made to excite and satisfy, Freefall wines havee an upfront andd contemporary style.
