Note also that for his 2005 négociant wines, Magnien has simplified them somewhat by adopting certain cuvée names like Coeur des Roches and issuing a number of old vines offerings at the villages level, the latter of which are particularly interesting. And in a few cases, he has replaced the term Vieilles Vignes with the name of a cuvée. An interesting nose of menthol, earth, smoked meat and mostly dark berry fruit aromas leads to slightly toasty rich and sweet flavors that are exceptionally rich read more...and mouth coating and I particularly like the texture on the fresh and moderately structured and persistent finish. Very good quality here. (hide)
