Frederic Esmonin Gevrey-Chambertin Cote-d'Or France 2005

Member Review by JBaldwinRN:

90/100 - Dark red color, dark pink at the rim. Very earthy, mildly fruity nose. First taste: dark cherry and "light" dark-chocolate (does that make sense?). Excellent tannin structure with a mediocre to strong mid palate. The wine has a superb linger and stays with you for about 20-30 seconds. Well worth the $13 for it (though I am sure it is MUCH cheaper outside of Connecticut). Definitely one I will add to my 'cellar'. Superb mouthfeel, great tannins, mild nose, lighter color. Very good Sub-$20 Pinot.
