Gerade der Lagenmix aus Freds besten Lagen unterstreicht die Einmaligkeit dieses Weins. Herrliche, feinfruchtige, pfeffrige Noten, Honigmelonen, Grapefruit, Bittermandeln. Am Gaumen saftig, rassig und mineralisch elegant. Ein Erstklassiger Allrounder.

Winemaker's Notes:

Fred Loimer owns 26 hectares planted with a range of varieties, around Langenlois, in the Kamptal region of Lower Austria. Unlike many Austrian producers who go for an overly rich and sweet style, Fred gets full ripeness in the vineyard yet ferments to dryness, managing to produce wines with lovely definition, zest and balance on the palate. This wine is bright lemon yellow in colour, with youthful green hints. Aromas of fresh green apples are accompanied by an attractive spiciness. Exotic fruit and ripe citrus flavours perfectly balance this wine’s refreshing acidity.

Tasting Notes:

Stephen Tanzer 88 (2008) - Nov/Dec 09. Pale green-yellow. Aromas of crisp green apple, cassis, verbena, lemon zest and pepper. Lively acids highlight flavors of apple and mango. A dry, light (12%) gruner veltliner for everyday drinking, best enjoyed in its refreshing youth.
