Fred Loimer Grüner Veltliner Langenlois Lois 2010
Fred Loimer owns 26 hectares planted with a range of varieties, around Langenlois, in the Kamptal region of Lower Austria. Unlike many Austrian producers who go for an overly rich and sweet style, Fred gets full ripeness in the vineyard yet ferments to dryness, managing to produce wines with lovely definition, zest and balance on the palate. This wine is bright lemon yellow in colour, with youthful green hints. Aromas of fresh green apples are accompanied by an attractive spiciness. Exotic fruit and ripe citrus flavours perfectly balance this wine’s refreshing acidity.
The Loimer winery has 45 hectares of vineyards in the Kamptal region of Austria. In 2005, the winery changed to biodynamic wine-growing. Beginning with the 2009 harvest, the winery is certified according to "Respect – Bio-dynamically Inspired Quality"; member of the Österreichischen Traditionsweingüter,Austrian traditional wineries.
