Fred Loimer Grüner Veltliner Langenlois Lois 2005
Wine Tasting Notes The nose is dominated by a mix of fruit ranging from citrus, to green apples, to ripe apricots, but also carries and undertone of floral notes. The palate has delicate succulent fruitiness, almost granular in texture, intense mineral structure and vibrant acidity. A classic Riesling that is bolstered by herbal spiciness. The grapes for this Riesling are exclusively sourced from terraced vineyards extending on loess hills gently rolling around the city of Langenlois.
The Loimer winery has 45 hectares of vineyards in the Kamptal region of Austria. In 2005, the winery changed to biodynamic wine-growing. Beginning with the 2009 harvest, the winery is certified according to "Respect – Bio-dynamically Inspired Quality"; member of the Österreichischen Traditionsweingüter,Austrian traditional wineries.
