IWC 91+ (12/2002): Moderately saturated brick-red. Fresh aromas of plum, redcurrant, marzipan and grilled nuts. Broad, sweet and expansive, with a chewy texture. Rather backward and brooding, but has depth and style. Finishes with big, ripe tannins and excellent length.

WS 91 (11/2002): Lively aromas of crushed fruit, with hints of vanilla and spices. Full-bodied, with refined, silky tannins and a medium finish. A juicy and delicious red. Best after 2005. 170 cases made.
