Franzia Zinfandel California White Zinfandel 2003
I find this an affordable, light, drinkable wine. It easily accompanies most meals and is smooth and tasty. I like that it is "keepable" as I am the only member of my household who drinks wine. So a box may last me more then a week and still tastes exactly as when newly opened.Add winemaker's notes
Franzia is a wine brand known for its “WineTap” box wines, out of the Yosemite area of California. The brand is named for Teresa Franzia, who founded the winery in 1906. The box wines began in the 1970s and were an instant success. The wines are available in 3 and 5 liter cartons, offered in a wide range of styles in white, red and rosé as well as sangria, Sunset Blush and other blends.

Oh no, wine in a box? :-O Spooking wine-drinkers from its inception, this intimidating carton deserves more of a fair shake. What it truly needs is a blind taste test to get beyond the prejudice. Yeah, it's not the most flavourful zinfandel I've ever had, but it sure beats many I've had at triple or quadruple the price. Large party? No problem, here's your wine...just don't let them see you dispense it and you'll be fine ;-D. I kid, if your friends are so bent out of shape over a cardboard box, then perhaps new friends are in order. Things aren't always what they appear, trust your taste.
ugh, im not one to be picky about my wines usually(i love tisdale @ 4 dollars a bottle) but this stuff is down right offensive. tastes like vinegar and artificial flavoring. even worse, the stuff doesnt seem to keep at all. ive tried this and the chablis. after a single day, both taste exactlythe same. like putrid undilluted vinegar. i will NEVER buy a box of this again
I like this wine because I can pair it with sweet foods. I also like that it's not too strong and I can drink it with most dinners. It stays fresh and lasts longer than most bottled wines. I was surprised to find out that I liked a boxed wine since I had not had good experiences with other boxed wines.
One of my favorites.
This is my everyday glass or so of wine. Cheap, yet pretty darn good. Definitely worth the price!
This shiznit is dope. It will get you slizered in a quick secont
