Franzia is a wine brand known for its “WineTap” box wines, out of the Yosemite area of California. The brand is named for Teresa Franzia, who founded the winery in 1906. The box wines began in the 1970s and were an instant success. The wines are available in 3 and 5 liter cartons, offered in a wide range of styles in white, red and rosé as well as sangria, Sunset Blush and other blends.
Classic college wine and worked great for tailgating
hm. not bad for franzia i suppose. So far Ive had the white zin , and chablis, both ofwhich i thought were terrible as they tasted like vinegar. THis on the other hand does taste like wine, a bit acidic on the finish, but other than that, not a bad red wine. simple, but far from offensive. i might buy this again, if it keeps well over the next few days
