Frankland Estate Shiraz Blend Frankland River Shiraz Viognier Rocky Gully 2006
From one of Australia's least known, breezier outposts, a pretty light/mediumbodied wine, with playful orange-sweet brambly fruit, minty overtones and adistinct succulence, aided no doubt by a judicious dose of Viognier. A charmerin any company, however fowl. Drinking now till 2011. (David Berry Green, BBR Buyer)
The Shiraz was a little foreward, but the viognier lifted it at the end. Not my favourite wine, but I may purchase again
good every day bottle of wine. Fruity. Well balanced- nice finish. Not too heavy - alcohol is tempered with the viognier
Nice Shiraz, the touch of voignier give a nicer finish. Fruity on the nose, though tastes a touch on the mineral side. Well balanced, but not a prominently flavored wine. Nice silky mouthfeel. A good pairing with subtle flavors in food, but would likely be easily overpowered by anything rich or spicy.
