What to Expect

Riesling is a chameleon of a grape, able to produce world class wines that range from bone dry to unctuously sweet. Germany is most closely associated with Riesling, where all styles are made and the range of flavors runs the gamut from steely and crisp with crunchy mineral-driven flavors to fresh lime, apple and peach flavored expressions - even rich honied, candied fruit tones in the great dessert wines.

Winemakers Notes

This Riesling has all the classic hallmarks of the variety. An intriguingkerosene nose is backed up by crisp green apple notes and delicious weight onthe palate. Tantalisingly crisp acidity and just a hint of spritz make thisappetising Riesling a delight to savour now.

Classically taut and tight lemon, lime incipient petrol and slightly vegetal forest undergrowth note rise from the glass like a rising souffle. In the mouth this is chiseled elegance with a great intensity of flavor yet little weight and no fat. It's got cut and definition to spare and will no doubt improve with some time in the cellar but this is very fine now with excellent purity to the citrus toned fruits and a lovely emergent mineral tone on the finale. 92pts
