Winemaker Notes - Frank Family Vineyards 2008 Napa Valley Zinfandel is dark and rich in color, reminiscent of violets. This classic Zinfandel leads with sweet blackberry jam, white and black pepper and clove spice.

91 points California Grapevine: Medium-dark purplish ruby color; attractive, forward, intense, spicy, briary, raspberry jam aroma with notes of black pepper, smoked meat and toasty oak; full body; big, rich, fleshy, extracted, red and dark berry fruit flavors with overtones of sweet oak and a slightly creamy mouthfeel; medium-full to full tannin; lingering aftertaste. Very appealing to taste now with its forward, rich fruit. Very highly recommended. 15% alcohol; blended with 15% Petite Sirah... (Dec 2012)
