Exceptional, especially at $40! This is a wonderful cab that offers plenty of fruit and finishes very smoothly. Best enjoyed with a grilled steak, it won't take over the meal, rather it goes along very nicely. It's one cab we'll take off the shelf and drink without a meal.

A very balanced cabernet that combines intense fruit with a long and lingering finish that is quite mellow. At this price, one of our favorites. We've never been disappointed with this wine.

Vice nice wine! Deep dark red color, average Cabernet aroma, but great big fruitiness - cassis and licorice predominate for me. Not as tannic as I'd expect in a Cab Sauv. Paired wonderfully with steak au poivre, asparagus and rosemary roasted potatoes.

Starts out ripe and supple, with pure, ripe cherry, plum and blackberry fruit, then firms up, revealing chewy tannins. Full-bodied and well-balanced, with a complex finish. Best from 2010 through 2017.

Bright purple. Sexy, oak-spiced aromas of cherry-vanilla, boysenberry and mocha, with a subtle floral quality emerging with air. Plush, juicy dark fruit flavors show very good depth, with vanilla and violet pastille nuances contributing sweetness. Tannins arrive late and are nicely folded into the fruit on the long, smoky finish. This will drink well soon.

Winemaker's Notes:

Wine Tasting Notes The Frank Family Vineyard's Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a deep purple color. The aromas are brimming with sweet blackberries, Tahitian vanilla, chocolate dusted espresso beans and spiced cake with raspberry coulis. As further layers emerge; notes of aniseed, sage browned butter, and cigar box come forward. The palate is profuse and lively bursting with juicy cherries, blackberry pie topped with cardamom ice cream, and fresh brewed coffee with a touch of cinnamon. These classic aromas are harmoniously balanced by a well structured mouthfeel of velvety tannins that are wonderfully polished yet youthful with lasting grip.
