Notes on the Frank Family Chardonnay Napa Valley 2005 : NVWE NOTES: Forward and as pretty as they are rich, the aromas of this fine Chardonnay suggest spiced apple, pear, citrus, peach blossoms and lemon cream wafers. The wine is supple in texture and gently refreshing on the palate, where apple and citrus flavors harmonize with pretty vanilla. This is a Gold Medal Wine Club Platinum Series selection. Frank Family Vineyards 2005 Chardonnay, Napa Valley is a voluptuous wine produced from fruit grown in the famed Carneros region. The 2005 Chardonnay is already sold out at the winery and for a very good reason. The wine won a Double Gold Medal at the Hilton Head Island Wine Festival, and a second Double Gold Medal at the West Coast Wine Competition, a Gold Medal, Best of Class, Best of Region during the California State Fair Wine Competition, plus a Gold Medal, at the Orange County Fair Wine Competition.
