What to Expect

Chardonnay is America's most popular grape and with good reason. Made in styles that range from steely, mineral laced wines with crisp green apple fruit to wines that are buttery, rich, and laden with tropical fruits, there is a Chardonnay that will appeal to every palate. Chardonnay is most closely associated with France's Burgundy region and California's Northern valleys though it has proven successful around the globe.

Winemakers Notes

Notes on the Frank Family Chardonnay Napa Valley 2005 : NVWE NOTES: Forward and as pretty as they are rich, the aromas of this fine Chardonnay suggest spiced apple, pear, citrus, peach blossoms and lemon cream wafers. The wine is supple in texture and gently refreshing on the palate, where apple and citrus flavors harmonize with pretty vanilla. Lingering and notably well-balanced, the wine is fun and satisfying all by itself, but it will make an even finer companion to baked fish or chicken.FRANK FAMILY CHARDONNAY NAPA VALLEY 2005

Reviews

Solid chard, and it's red-like behavior is interesting, and it manages to avoid the over-fruited and over-oaked behaviors that turns me off chardonnay at large (especially from the US).

Deep, delicious chardonnay which I originally tasted at the winery. They serve it room temperature, and in fact it behaves very much like a red wine in the mouth. Aromas of apples. Nicely sugared, syrupy and smooth.

This is a Gold Medal Wine Club Platinum Series selection. Frank Family Vineyards 2005 Chardonnay, Napa Valley is a voluptuous wine produced from fruit grown in the famed Carneros region. The 2005 Chardonnay is already sold out at the winery and for a very good reason. The wine won a Double Gold Medal at the Hilton Head Island Wine Festival, and a second Double Gold Medal at the West Coast Wine Competition, a Gold Medal, Best of Class, Best of Region during the California State Fair Wine Competition, plus a Gold Medal, at the Orange County Fair Wine Competition. Wine Skinny

Delicious! Ripe nectarine and crisp pear combine with mineral, cream, fig and butterscotch on this rich, but balanced wine. Long, lush finish. Ready to drink now.
