The quiet yet thoughtful François Jobard succinctly calls 2002 equally good in both colors and the vintage is extremely well balanced, rich if not heavy and one that should drink well early but offer mid-range aging potential. The red will be bottled without fining or filtration as usual. (Kermit Lynch, Berkeley, CA and Martine's Wines, Novato, CA; Becky Wasserman/Le Serbet, Richards Walford, Anthony Sarjeant and H.&H.
