Can't believe a Zin at this price delivers so much. Has all the key elements that makes a Zin what it is. However, I believe it is the Petite Sirah that gives it the backbone that makes it so good. A great everyday Zin and an essential wine for your outdoor grilling.

Dark ruby color. On the nose lot's of cherries, plum, smoked meat, licorice. On the palate dry, fruity, ripe blackberries, vanilla, spices. Soft tannins, little unusual noticeable acidity, but balances good with jammy, syrupy flavors of this wine. Long, lush finish.

Winemaker's Notes:

Winemaker Corey Beck developed a fondness for Petite Sirah in part because it was the favorite varietal of his grandfather, a Napa Valley grape grower when the California wine industry was just gaining notoriety.

Tasting Notes:

The fruit for this wine is grown in diverse regions throughout California. Immense color saturation and intense aromas of sweet, juicy boysenberries set the stage for a wine loaded with lush, jammy fruit, and long, lingering flavors of plums, blackberries, sage and a hint of smoke.

Winemaker Corey Beck developed a fondness for Petite Sirah in part because it was the favorite varietal of his grandfather, a Napa Valley grape grower when the California wine industry was just gaining notoriety.
