The taste was not very smooth at all, the first tasting was very acidic. A second sip took away most of the acidity but that was not enough to unveil the fruity and berryish tone you should expect from this wine.
Our Zinfandel is sourced from three distinct vineyards in exceptional Zinfandel-growing regions to create a wine with more personality and dimension. The first vineyard comprised of old vines, is in Amador County. It has been farmed by a grower who’s been growing grapes in the region for more than 25 years. The second vineyard, Hog’s Canyon, is in Paso Robles where the hot summer temperatures and gravely loam soils produce grapes with tremendous concentration. The third vineyard is in Sonoma County in the Valley of the Moon. A western-facing vineyard, it produces grapes bursting with the taste of sun-ripened fruit.
