Editorial Reviews for Francis Ford Coppola Pinot Noir California Votre Santé
This is fresh and clean on the nose with a slight balsamic edge to the coffee toned black raspberry fruit. Sweet top notes of licorice and dried orange peel. This is round yet focused on entry, with a wonderfully raspberry fruit tone framed with soft tannins and lightly toasted oak notes. The balance here is really quite fine, and while this is a touch simple, it delivers really nice, pure and intense raspberry fruit. This turns a bit more cherry on the back end and gains some light herbal/floral notes on the moderately long, slightly oaky finish. This is not fancy but is quite attractive and will appeal to a very broad spectrum of palates. 90pts
a bit too sweet for my taste
Crisp with peaches, apricots and pears. A touch of oak and a bit of vanilla. Tastes like a Chardonnay twice its price.
Candied cherries, a bit astringent and jammy, this leads up into a fairly balanced pinot that has some ripe fruit notes laced with a bit of black and red licorice. A succulent finish that lingers just the right amount of time...
Rich and creamy. Bright red berries, vanilla and floral favors. Tastes great with chicken and fish, also good on is own.
Such a full bodied wine with a hint of fruit flavor to finish.
A very thin, light style pinot. Cherries, cranberries, tea and raspberries. - Tasted at winery Feb 2011

From Francis Ford Coppola, Votre Sante is California Chard with the balance and style of a wine from France. Partially barrel fermented and partially stainless steel fermented it's aged 6 months if French oak barrels. The alcohol is a tame 13.5% and it undergoes only a partial malolactic fermentation. With the elegant touch of an intricate die cut label, Votre Sante is a pretty wine in all respects and a super value. The 2009 was a 90-Point Best Buy in Wine Enthusiast Magazine who said "This statewide blend stands up well against far more expensive Chardonnays. It’s rich and crisp in acidity, with tropical fruit, pear and peach flavors, as well as a generous coating of oak and buttercream."
A light, elegant palate and lovely perfume of strawberries, cloves, tea leaves, and violets. Its vibrant flavors of raspberries and cherries are highlighted by notes of vanilla and sandalwood, which makes for a nuanced wine that is both lively and versati
Striking a lovely balance between sweet fruit, zesty citrus notes and a spiced vanilla finish. This delivers a delicate perfume of peaches, lemons, and spiced pears along with luscious flavors of apples, pineapple, and toasted vanilla.
Winemaker's NotesWe source our Pinot Noir grapes from several vineyards in Monterey County. The cool Mediterranean climate that characterizes the region allows the grapes to develop full flavor maturity over an extended growing season. We pick the fruit in the early morning hours and bring the fruit inside for immediate crush and 48-hours of cold soak. This technique helps intensify the color and elicit more profound aromas. During fermentation, the grapes are punched down four times a day to extract the maximum amount of flavor and just the right amount of tannin. A majority of the wine is finished in stainless steel in order to retain the varietal's juicy fruit flavor and subtle color. A small portion is aged in small French oak barrels to impart delicate spicy nuances. The wines are then blended to create a medium-bodied, deliciously fruity Pinot Noir. 2009 was a great vintage for all California appellations and an excellent vintage for Pinot Noir.
