Slightly herbal and cocoa-dusted on the nose, this shows an almost floral sweetness to the aromas of beefy, plummy fruit. A bit thick on entry, this is soft and a bit fat. Fills your mouth with plush, dark berry and lightly baked plum fruit, accented with a hint of baking spices, vanilla and caramel. It’s an easy drinking, fairly intense wine suited for the cocktail set. 84pts

Rich, fruity and elegantly textured. Rich plum color. Full bodied, with aromas of cherries, strawberry. Very warm and round with subtle notes of chocolate, vanilla and jammy fruit flavors on the palate. Soft tannins, smooth finish. I like my Merlot with meat, cheese or...chocolate! Cheers!

I tried this wine one evening over at a friendrsquo;s house with salisbury steak. Wow! For the price, it is a steal! Diamond is sourced from several locations for specific flavor components the winemaker is interested in bringing out from the terroir. The result of his meticulous selection process is a sweet, fruit forward, very aromatic Merlot. It has a nice acidity that can cut through meat in an instant. Being aged in French oak, sweet vanilla is intermingled throughout. They blend a small amount of Syrah and Petite Sirah to give it that intense color. It is a must try with meatloaf, veal osso bucco or a black and bleu salad.
Wonderful bouquet of spice and raspberry that climbs from your ink colored glass. The tannins will grip early on soon yielding to characteristics of sweet blackberries and currants along with mild pepper and just a hint of smokiness.
The result is a fragrant and complex wine with luscious body and plenty of dark, juicy flavors of plums, cassis and crushed wild berries.
Powerful and dramatic, with expansive aromas ranging from concentrated, slightly jammy blackberry fruits to scents of white pepper, bound with sweet toasty oak. The palate is soft and supple with fleshy dense fruit. It finishes with round, luscious tannins.
Winemaker's Notes - Our Merlot combines fruit from Napa, Sonoma and Monterey. The flavors and textures unique to each region harmonize perfectly to create a wine that has dark succulent fruit balanced by natural acidity. Intense aromatics of raspberry and blueberry lead to flavors of crushed berries, vanilla and leather, which are wrapped up in a soft, smooth tannin structure.
Wine Tasting Notes Our Green Label Syrah-Shiraz has a dark purple-red color and generous aromas of plum and clove. Bursting with flavors of ripe raspberry and black currant, this rich juicy wine has layers of sweet spice and notes of smoky vanilla. A hint of bittersweet chocolate and pepper peek through on the finish to create a complex wine with soft tannins.
