Food Pairings for Foxglove Cabernet Paso Robles
Wine is a good value for the price point. It is smooth, full bodied, and a bit heavy which was expected.
Made by Bob Varner, also the winemaker at Varner Wines, in a modern style meant to bring out the true terroir of the Paso Robles appellation -- full, round fruit flavors without the overripeness and sappiness one might expect. Not yet reviewed; 2009 vintage rated 91 points by James Suckling: Wine with polished tannins and plenty of currants, dried fruits and spices. Full and silky. Give it two to three years to open up.
