Fox Brook is a brand offshoot of Bronco wines in Ceres, California. The brands are owned by the Franzia family, relatives of California wine legend Ernest Gallo. Fox Brook is a popular line of value-driven California wines that include Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Merlot, White Zinfandel and a non-vintage Sweet Red blend.
We just had a bottle with some pizza and it was just perfect.
On a whim, I purchased a bottle of Fox Brook Winery's 2007 Cabernet Sauvingnon. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this wine is fantastic. Full-bodied, fruity with the taste of plums. Great with chicken and pasta. I bought two more bottles today. Tomorrow, I may buy a case. This wine is far better than the Two Buck Chucks wines you will find at Trader Joe's. If you find it, buy it. You will not be disappointed.
