Fowles Wine Are You Game Sparkling Wine

External Review by Great Wines Direct:

Aromas of strawberries and apples with subtle savoury notes. Light and fresh with a fine bead and some yeasty complexity.Matt Fowles, a self-taught hunter, chef, winemaker and jazz trumpet player, was an unfulfilled lawyer before buying a winery out of administration and creating Fowles Wine. The concept of food-friendly wines is hardly new, but Fowles broke new ground by creating a range designed specifically to be consumed with game, repeatedly testing out the wines against boar, venison, pheasant and fish until the blends were just right. Grapes: 43% Chardonnay, 42% Pinot Noir and 15% VermentinoRegion: Australia / Victoria / Strathbogie RangesMaker: Victor NashNotes: A delicate straw colour. Aromas of strawberries and apples with some subtle savoury notes. This wine is light and fresh with a fine bead and some yeasty complexity.Serve: At 10-12c with wild fish especially Yabbies , prawns, crayfish, in fact shellfish of any kind!ABV: 12.5%
