Winemakers Notes
This wine is Oregon Pinot Noir at its best. Enticing, vibrant, dark ruby-purple in color, it presents ripe pomegranate and cranberry on the palate, laced by an earthy spiciness.
What to Expect
Oregon has only recently emerged as a source for premium wine and is winning fans over to their somewhat earthy style of Pinot Noir. With vineyards a bit cooler than most of California's, yet warmer still than Burgundy, Oregon's Pinot Noirs feature a synthesis of ripe fruit, ripe structure and transparency that draws on the strengths of both. The wines tend to have a touch of earthiness and a sense of transparency that many Pinots from California lack yet the fruit profile, full of dark berries, is decidedly warm-climate in nature.

Outstanding Wine. Smooth and Bright. Very drinkable all on its own, but we killed the bottle with a large plate of cheese and apple slices. This bottle was a gift from a friend, but I'm definitely interested in acquiring more of it.
First impression was that the wine was very clear, not dense in color at all. The nose was nice, fruit with some gamey hints, old world. The taste was nice, but a bit earthy for my taste. My challenge with all Oregon Pinots is determining the source of the grapes and soil type. It seems to make an enormous difference read more...
