Four Brix Zeductive Zinfandel California 2008

Member Review by Tyler Worth:

90 points. The aroma reveals deep floral tones, with ripe raspberry and cherry tones. There is also a bit of cinnamon and kitchen spice, and there is a delicate pine needle component that lingers on the edges. It smells very refined, and there is something that almost makes me think of a campfire somewhere off in the woods, it’s really pleasant and very inviting. It opens with a ripe sweetness, and there is a lush fullness to this wine’s body. There are brown sugar and spice flavors mixed in with a bit of milk chocolate and bramble fruit. Despite the smooth, rounded presence that this wine has on the palate, it maintains a graceful lightness, and avoids feeling heavy or overly extracted. This is a nicely done wine, with a lingering finish that hints at lavender and citrus. Fresh and enjoyable, while still maintaining a nice amount of depth, this is a solid wine for the price, and worth trying.
