Foster Wine Estates Beringer Luxury Beringer Lux Alluvium Re 2005
"Temperatures are kept cool throughout fermentation and just before the wine reaches dryness, winemakers bring it down even further, capturing the fresh white peach and fragrant honey character. The resulting wine has heady aromas of citrus and orange blossom leading in to rich flavors of stonefruit and spice. Semi-dry and spicy, this is a solid California gew?rztraminer, balanced between sweetness and just enough acidity to make it a good aperitif wine. "
deep bouquet, very earthy, with pepper, spicy fruits, oak, tobacco throughout. a shade less round in the mouth than the knights valley cabernet because of the soil tones, which is perhaps why the finish is just slightly less smooth as well. but overall, a pleasant evening wine in cooler weather.
Nice. Not a Beringer fan but it stood out over others in the Beringer family. Notes of damp soil, berries, oak, sweet tobacco.
Not the most complex, but great drinkability. Citrus & Tobacco notes on the palate, with a short & sweet (almost vanilla) finish. Let it breath & serve chilled before serving.

Wine Tasting NotesBright red fruit, plum, toffee and cedar aromas lead into a mouthful bursting with black cherry, coffee and blackberry flavors, with just a hint of fresh rosemary and spice. This wine has fleshy tannins giving an overall impression of plushness and depth to the wine.
