This is our idea of S.B. - great clonal selection called the 'Musquee' clone which is becoming better known as a preferred version. Next, the Lake County region is also getting a great reputation for S.B. - the nice warm weather has been producing a number of wonderful wines. This 2,000 2,400 feet vineyard gets warm days (80 degrees) and cool nights (51 degrees) Winery says "Joint venture with the Snider Family. This flambuoyant Musque Clone Sauv. Blanc from Red Hills Lake Country shows a more aromatic, fruit driven style. Beautiful floral and citrus notes on the nose give way read more...to flavors of grapefruit and melon with hints of spice and earth. " Produced by Fess Parker winery

- In 2004, we have chosen to use what is sometimes referred to as the most flamboyant of Sauvignon Blanc clones, 100% Musque clone, in order to accentuate the fresh combinations of tropical, citrus, floral and even exotic characteristics of Sauvignon Blanc. This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of kiwi, key lime, tangerine, apricot and honeysuckle accented by a slight mineral component and crisp acidity. An enticing, rich texture adds to the depth and complexity of the wine. This wine definitely lives up to our mantra of Grass is for Cows.
