Forest Glen Merlot Sonoma Coast 2006

Winemaker's Notes:

Raymond Hill’s 2006 Merlot is a strong, dark garnet-colored wine. Its light aromas of fresh berries and toasted oak compliment the flavors of cherries, plums, and raspberries on the palate, ending with lingering tastes of spice and sweet raspberry.

Forest Glen Winery:
Forest Glen wines have been produced in Geyserville in Sonoma County, California since 1990. Their wines are produced to be consumed young, without the need for further bottle aging. According to the Noble Estates website, the wines are “100% barrel aged.” We’re not sure what that means either, but consumers have remarked on the toasty, smooth flavors.
