From 1.5 L, popped and poured. Marked notes of fennel & anise on top of fine, dried black cherry, underbrush, and a subtle richness at the core. Elegant, but not at all thin. Medium weight on the palate with more dried black cherry, leather, and some minerality. Fine tannins and savory notes on the finish. Well balanced, solid, and easy to drink. 90 Pts.

Dark fruits of plum and maybe some black cherries, laced with energetic acidity, fine grained tannins on the finish. A well balanced and delicious new world style classico that's easy going, but with finesse, and integrity. At around $25, i'll look to buy this in bulk.

Medium garnet hue. Dried Morello cherry emerges on the nose with undertones of truffle and dried earth-a welcome change from over-extracted fruit renditions found with some modern Tuscan houses. Traditional flavors on the palate center around earth t... Neil Mechanic. A Sangiovese wine from Tuscany in Italy. 2008 Fontodi Chianti Classico 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

All Fontodi wines are produced from grapes coming from their own vineyards, picked by hand, chosen with care and vinified in a way that exalts the character of the vines and the territory. The Fontodi Oil “Bio” is produced from its own olives which are delicately pressed the same day as the harvest in order to preserve all the freshness and the fragrance of the fruit.
