Fontanafredda Vigna la Rosa Barolo 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

While also evolved this exhibts better freshnes than the Bianca with more spice notes to the dried and fading fruit with a baking/middle eastern spice tone.Turns faintly floral with good dried rose notes. In the mouth this exhibits better acids and riper tannins than the Bianca with a bit of fleshiness rounding out the slightly medicinal and beet root tones to the tart berry fruit. really very nice with good length, lacks only a bit of complexity and, like the Bianca, fades a bit in the glass over the course of dinner but is still a very nice bottle.
