What to Expect

Barbera is one of the classic Grapes of Italy's Piedmont region, though it is popular throughout much of Northwest Italy and has gained a following in California. Searing acidity has been a trait of Barbera though modern viticultural techniques and warmer regions have tamed the acidity, resulting in medium-bodied wines with bright, red fruit tones that feature hints of violets, earth and plum with just a whisper of tannin.

Very plummy and grapey on the nose with hints of chocolate. Full-bodied soft and succulent with lots of flavor and a long long finish. Delicious. WS 90 Points
