Fontana Candida Luna Mater Frascati 2009
Bright yellow in color, with an intense and full bouquet, Luna Mater is dry and generous in flavor, soft and enveloping on the palate, with a lingering pear and bitter-almond finish. Perfect with white meats and fish, Luna Mater is the ideal companion to the famous pastas of Rome: Cacio e Pepe, all'Amatriciana, Carbonara, and, of course, Fettucine Alfredo.
Fontana Candida is a popular wine brand based in Rome, Italy, best known for their Frascati wines produced in the nearby hills of Lazio. The winery was founded in 1958 and has been producing Frascati (a dry, light, refreshing wine with floral aromatics) since then. Eventually the business expanded to include Pinot Grigio from the Veneto and Orvieto from Umbria.
