A Chardonnay wine from Burgundy in France. 2002 Fontaine Gagnard Criots Batard Montrachet 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

94 points Allen Meadows (Burghound): (from 3 separate parcels that aggregate .33 ha - aged in 30% new wood). The ripest wine in the cellar with a potent mix of peach, apricot, mango and pear aromas that sits atop opulent, massive, incredibly dense flavors of almost painful intensity and breathtaking length. What is amazing is how vibrant and lively this is despite the incredible ripeness and richness. A knockout effort that is no model of finesse but the sheer depth is worth the price of admission. 2008-14. (July 2004)
